Brief 2 - Photography Branding - Initial Idea 1

This first initial idea focuses firstly on the colour ways found through the range of research carried out, such as scandinavian design, pinterest inspiration and other photographer's branding and also the colours which inspire and attract the client.

Experimentations with shapes, inspired by design studio BVD's approach to design, the World's first simplifying agency, cutting through complexity and focusing on the essentials to reach maximum impact. The design's below are also inspired by their designs for Narvesen, Norway’s leading convenience store chain. Using simple colours and shapes to contrast each other. The client liked this approach and liked the combination of a bright colour with more neutral tones.

Similarly these designs look at the simplicity and effectiveness of combining the use of shapes and colours, in different colour schemes and patterns. Looking at creating repeat patterns.

The designs below were inspired by Scandinavian design, specifically within the production of garments and textile design. Looking at the lines, pathways and shapes used across the company's designs, in the likes of tote bags and carpets. Then applying this to the standard business cards shape, seeing how it would work in context and experimenting with more neutral, cool tones colour palettes.

The most successful design from feedback and from client herself, the contrasting shapes specifically triangles with a contrasting colour schemes. This patterns and approach would be easy to apply across a range of collateral, including logo and promotional material.
