Brief 3 - JB Springs - Initial Idea development

Developing the idea to use hands on experiments by photographing, making, bending and shaping actual wire into a range of shapes and sizes. Looking at the formation of springs and the shapes and forms that can be created from it. Taking a realistic approach means children can instantly recognise what it is and makes for a more educational approach to the design.

The designs worked well, especially when adding facial expressions and
different emotions to the characters, however using photographs meant it was hard to get high quality designs and manipulate them, therefore it was decided to stay with vector illustrations and images. Especially important when being applied to such a range of media.
