Below shows both logo and business card development, from feedback from the previous designs, these designs have been developed and different colours have been experimented with for starters. Introduction of the blue and the lime green, as these were colours taken from initial development which worked well within a colour scheme and it added different elements and more excitement to the design. However all of the colours together seemed too much and the client just wanted to stick with the blue, pink and grey which all worked successfully together.
As well as development of the colours, the logo has been developed to create a more three dimensional design, so the design wasn't so flat, it helps the design to communicate the client's practice. Experimenting with different effects, which made the logo stand out on it's own, bringing it off the page creating a sense of embossing or debossing. As the client wanted to create a tactile style of design.
The typeface chosen was Futura Light, as this was directed by the Client, also the sans serif, modern style fits in with the personality and style of the designs. As well as Futura being well known for it's geometric qualities which means it works perfectly alongside the use of shapes and lines.
More development is shown below, looking at the layout of the type, ultimately the type layout was chosen due to ease of legibility and so that it was easy to read, as it is important that the information is communicated effectively and simply to possible clients and employees. The vibrancy of colours was also experimented with, however the brighter colours were said to look too childish or immature whereas the slightly less saturated colours represented the professional personality the client wanted to represent.
Below shows the developments of both the business cards and logos, seeing which colour way and layout works best. It was decided that the pink on the blue and grey stood out the most therefore this design was chosen for the front of the business cards.
Below shows the final design of the front and different variations of the back of the card, the pink was chosen for the back, as it creates contrast from the front and back, also the type stood out better against a darker background. The logo is very versatile meaning it's easy to use and apply across a range of collateral. The same goes for the triangles and colours, these can be applied to stickers, leaflets, business cards and even CV and websites very easily.
