The binding considerations for the zine obviously have to be hand done and easy to do, therefore saddle stitch or perfect bound may be the best approach or even just something as simple as stapling, as they would have to be produced on mass and easy to recreate.
The definition of a zine is obviously self published and is original work and normally includes series of texts and images and is usually reproduced by a photocopier. Although it is normally used to describe any magazine aimed at a niche market, which is what this publication design is trying to communicate to. The content of a zine normally draws on ideas not covered by mainstream media, which is also what this publication is trying to communicate; the underground independent hip hop artists that aren't in the media, unlike the heavily commercialised and famous artists which everyone knows about, even those not interested in hip hop. Therefore this publication is for those who already have an interest but want to know about those artists who are under the radar.
Different binding methods which would be appropriate are
Hotdog Fold - Although this would limit the amount of pages.
Stapling - This is easy to do by hand and is also nice and cheap. However this can make it harder for the pages to open. This makes the design relatable and accessible, not too complicated and isn't over the top. It is also easy to do saddle stitch binding with staples which may be the most appropriate method.

Stitching - Creating holes down the spine of the page, using ordinary needles and thread to bind the pages together. This will make the publication deem to be more up market without it being too much effort or expensive. This will also make the publication much longer lasting
String - Hole punching through a page and using string to tie the book together.
