The images below show mood-boards of using ideas focused around light, as from research around the uni and creativity in general, light is an important aspect in both areas. More specifically coloured or stained glass, creating reflections and interesting patterns using both light and colour. Another development from this was the idea of using mirrors, creating interesting reflections, focusing on self portraits and the students involved in the exhibition, as well as again using light and mirrors together.
The idea of kaleidoscopes, representing the range and sequences of student’s work within the exhibition and the diversity of colours and work on top of that. This idea also relates to the focus on mosaics, shapes and colours which came from research into the university’s history and the use of mosaic’s around the building and within the branding.
