Feedback from the crit consisted of mainly about the parent section of the app, but also how to make it more interactive between the parents and children, how to add more personal touches within the app and how to make it a better and more engaging and interactive experience.
- The timer, can the children come in and out of the time, how does it record this. After their time is up, how can this be recorded or shown to create another aspect of praise within the app, almost a kind of reward.
- How can parents track their child's progress and see what they are doing. Maybe playback options where they can watch how well their child was getting on and completing the app. To inform and intensify this joint learning process.
- Make it more personal, they can practice writing their own name, maybe instead of icons, this can come up and they can write their own name and their parent's name, which they can then improve throughout their time on the app, after writing certain words or letters, they can rewrite their names, which shows them how well they are doing and how they have improved, kind of acts as a reward as well.
- Simplify the adults section, make it very to the point and easy to navigate as they only have a spare few minutes to read through. Make it easy to find specific pieces of information they want to know. The colours need to be more subdued on this section which means it's easier to look at with less going on, on the page.
- The colourful colour scheme was preferred for the children's app as this makes it more interesting ,fun and engaging. Also the interaction with the buttons moving and the praise element of stars and collection of pen colours was liked, as this really shows consideration for the user.
