- Sans Serif typefaces don't work here.
- These colours work well, although does the purple buttons get lost in the background? It loses it's obliviousness and children ay not think they can no longer click on them.
- In the app these buttons and the different letters will be animated to be moving around slightly, jumping up and down as from research children need it to be made obvious to them that certain buttons are interactive.
- Within the app this will be animates, first showing the children how to write the letter, giving the hints and prompts throughout if they take a long time or if they seem to need extra help.
- Would the dots or plain pen animation be better?
- The pen seems to be better as it is a more accurate representation of how it will look when they write the letter themselves.
- The same will occur within the app for the different lengths of words, after they have practiced the letters.
- This is an example of how the children will be praised and be shown their achievement within the app, as through research this will give them more incentive to continue playing on the app and engages them a lot more.
- The stars show a sense of congratulations and a sign that they have achieved the correct writing style.
Another idea was that they unlock different pen colours after each letter, it gives them a sense of purpose to continue playing and practicing the letters.
- This shows the colours they can unlock, and they pick this before they begin to learn to draw the letters.
- A stylus is supposed to be used within and for the app, however it isn't necessary as it can still be played on with just using touch and fingers.
