Studio Brief 02- Photographic Experiment

A second experiment was to mark out a stage area, and venue within an area of Leeds, specifically Leeds Dock, where the play was held.  The stage, seating and backstage was marked out with chalk, then photographed. This idea was preferred, as it represented what Slung Low stood for, in an imaginative, conceptual way. However when placed into photoshop it became apparent that the photo would not screen print well, as there was too much detail and the idea behind the piece would be lost. Therefore a design decision was taken to discard this idea. Another idea was to photograph buildings and  various objects around the City of Leeds, in the areas where Slung Low have performed. The photographs would then try and recreate the number 10, to represent both how Slung Low use the city to perform in and around, and also to celebrate their 10 year anniversary of residency in the Leeds, Holbeck area.
