The concept behind the design and the decisions that were taken to create it, was to produce a cover which was appropriate and aimed more towards the younger generation, therefore bringing the ideas of the story up to date, to present in the 21st century, relating it to technology, computers and phones, which a younger audience can relate to. Rather than being a piece of nostalgia for an older audience, it is bringing the ideas of the book that was written in the 1980’s to the present day, and how if the character Adrian, was created today, how he would act, what he would use, in the way of technology would be completely different.
