Event Company Branding:Concept 3

Concept

  • This concept focuses on the initial brand name of neighbourhood and the circles and cityscapes suggest and represent this name.
  • Using black and white to stand out and contrast against each other makes it stands out against other designs, especially those looked at during visual research.
  • The circles represent people and how these events can bring people together.
  • The city scape adds an urban feel and vibe to the brand, however in feedback the client has now moved away from this style.

When visiting the Walker Gallery in Liverpool, they had an area for children where they could be creative through art and play, almost like a creche. They had all different toy and stations within it, allowing children to be imaginative and explore. Also when walking around the gallery there were little stations dotted around of activities to do, whether that be drawing, puzzles or questions or games. There were also book stations around the gallery where children could sit and read.

Slavery Museum - Liverpool

Designs and artwork using cotton and the idea of Adam and Eve, which represents colonial and economical dominance which created the conditions for slavery. Inspiration for ideas, creating an object or design using cotton, representing information or statistics relating to slavery.

The journey continues, an exhibition about how racism still affects those in Liverpool still now, the affects of Slavery and the feelings left of that era. Inspiration to look at the effect that slavery still has now and the impact that people in the black community still see nowadays.

Here is looking t the culture of Africa and the objects that they used on a daily basis, both in every day life and also those used for entertainment. Taking inspiration from this for the brief, looking at the design of the masks and the instruments they used to create music.

Maps showing the trade routes and the routes that the enslaved africans were taken from and to and the shocking number that were involved. This can be shown or designed in a way within the form of an object which show the sheer number and impact of africans being transported to all these different places.

Exhibition showing the impact and explanation of the underground rail road, the secret codes used and the hidden messages in songs and conversations that the slaves had with each other. Inspiration taken was ideas to create an object with hidden or secret messages to acknowledge this large part of the slave trade.

There was a part of the exhibition that was solely about the music and the influence that the slave trade had on this and all the different parts of music which have been influenced and have influenced each other.

These show the words which have come from the slave trade period and the impact of how they are used today and have had an influence on society today.
