Studio Brief 01
- Analysis of the brief, a list of requirements that the publication needed to communicate.
- Analysis of the context, who it was for and where it would be sold was researched and looked into, and this was then considered within the requirements for the brief.
- Needed to outline a specific problem that the brief was going to solve.
- Research was thorough, it looked down all different avenues and aspects of research, contextual and visual, maybe could be more theoretical research and research into target audience.
- Three different concepts came about from the different types of research.
- Could be more innovative and different visual and creative solutions, more developed ideas.
- More developed possible solutions to present to client would be better, and more developed prototypes.
- There was a process of development and experimentation with different formats, colours and types, which were then thoroughly analysed and evaluated and developed further.
- Prototypes were developed to an extent using different stocks and binding methods, but maybe could have been developed even further.
- Production processes were experimented with both binding methods and stock choices.
- There was enough time, although maybe the final outcome could have been developed further but the brief was developed and the final outcome answered the initial requirements.
- More innovative ideas and experimentation with materials.
Studio Brief 02
- A list of requirements was set and the brief was analysed to get these and also to create personas from the brief and from these requirements.
- The problem was defined, which meant that the requirements set were all in place to solve the problem.
- Needed a range of solutions to present to the client.
- More conceptual and innovative ideas
- Need to generate more than one conceptual ideas.
- There was an iterative process of experimentation and development, developing the most appropriate typeface and colour choices which best suit the personas and requirements of the brief.
- Prototypes were developed further into animations, to see what it would look like in real life.
- Should do more testing and evaluating, if the target audience was available to test the app on.
